Wilderness Survival

Learn basic survival tips and techniques for surviving in the wilderness from members of the Western Mountain Rescue Team on Wednesday August 9 at 7pm at the Gunnison Library, 307 N. Wisconsin. Topics covered will include techniques for building basic shelter and fire and dealing with adverse conditions. Learn the equipment necessary for surviving injury and how to best handle getting lost in the wilderness and how to best improve your chances of being found.

This program is designed for those who hike, bike, and otherwise recreate in the backcountry and want to be well prepared for dealing with unexpected situations.
