Jess’s bio in her own words:
My name is Jessica Noll and I am a 200 hour certified yoga teacher and a 95 hour certified children’s yoga teacher with an emphasis on making mindfulness accessible to individuals of diverse abilities. I was trained through Asanas for Autism and Special Needs. I have worked as a preschool teacher, a child caregiver, and a behavior therapist for children and adults with Autism. I currently teach children and adults yoga at Thrive Yoga Crested Butte and Gunnison and in all three preschools in town.
About this event in her own words:
In this session, I will teach you tools to share with the children in your life in order to understand and navigate big emotions and life’s stressors. Behind every behavior is a need. When children are having big emotions they have some innate need that is not being met, and in the midst of the emotion they are not able to tap into this. These tools will give children practical steps to take when they are overwhelmed in order to come back to the present moment and find calm within their own bodies. We will learn mindfulness tools through breathing strategies, body movement, tapping into the bodily sensations and more. We will learn easy ways to share this information with children in your own life and help give them tools to navigate stress in the present moment and throughout their life. We cannot always control the stress that children endure at home, in their community, or in their minds but we can give them tools to better understand their own needs and self regulate.”
