Join us on Wednesday, February 1 at 6 pm at the Gunnison Library or virtually for a foreign policy discussion about War Crimes.

About the topic:

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has resulted in widespread charges of war crimes and calls for justice. But what exactly are war crimes? Opinions of what constitutes a war crime have evolved, as have ways to identify and punish the perpetrators. How will the war crimes committed in Ukraine be dealt with?  (by Paula Bronstein. This part is part of an eight-week discussion series called Great Decisions hosted by the Gunnison Library, in conjunction with the Foreign Policy Association. Great Decisions is the largest discussion program on world affairs in the United States.

Participants will read a short article each week to familiarize themselves with the topic. Then at the meeting, we will watch a short documentary video clip and engage in a moderated discussion.
